Justin Kendricks and Out of Hiding Confirm for Camp of Worship 2012

Out of Hiding is a community of missional musicians birthed out of Holyfire Ministries.  With a passion to capture the heart of this generation and ignite authentic Christianity, this team of musicians seeks to set an atmosphere through worship where Jesus can be revealed.

 CCM magazine wrote of the group’s latest music saying that, “Out of Hiding’s latest stands up to worship rock’s biggest vets…lyrically challenging music motivated by souls rather than sales.”  The group has shared the stage with numerous other worship leaders including David Crowder, Casting Crowns, Charlie Hall, Tenth Avenue North, and others.

Chuck Peterson Camp of Worship Instructor

Professional drummer, Chuck Peterson, has been involved in music since his early childhood. Following in the footsteps of great influences such as Jeff Porcaro and Keith LeBlanc, he pours out energy and passion into playing drums in a wide variety of genres: rock, jazz, hip-hop, latin, country, funk, classical, and rhythm and blues. 

Chuck has played and recorded with a variety of artists including Jaeme Brennan and the Electric Soul, Ug, Livid Rock Band, Mike Greca, Darrell Evans, Driving Reign and Twist of Lime, just to name a few. He toured with Christian singer/songwriter Charles Ciepiel and international artist Julim Barbosa. Chuck has been working alongside jazz musician Howard Hill, who in turn has worked with greats such as Charlie "Bird" Parker, John Coltrane and Philly Joe Jones in his band. Chuck's music has been featured on radio station "The Rock" 106.9 WCCC. He is working with R&B group, The Gablz, who contributed to the soundtrack for the movie, A Thin Line Between Love and Hate, and also has a publishing deal with Warner Brothers.

The list of numerous bands and artists he has played alongside include Tackhead, Little Axe, Headfake, Blue Oyster Cult, Vernon Reid and Chris Hillman of the Byrds. 

Chuck has played in venues such as The Continental in New York, Central Park in NYC, Tuxedo Junction in Danbury, Connecticut, Leonardo DiVinci Center in Montreal, the Webster Theater in Hartford, Connecticut. Most recently he has played at the NAMM Show in California and Beach Fest in New Jersey.

Anthony Chapman of Acoustiyah Returns for Camp of Worship 2012!

Anthony Chapman will return from Israel this year to teach, coach and tour 3 states in three weeks with some of the interns from Camp of Worship. 

 

What is the Camp of Worship?

The Camp of Worship is designed to raise up the next generation of Worship Leaders, Worshippers, Christian Artists, and Musicians.  The Camp combines a passion for excellence and team building skills in an environment of Christian growth and Community.

To prove ourselves the best worship and Christian Rock Camp possible we've recruited gifted musicians, artists and instructors from the region to help you grow in your spiritual life and become the absolute best Christian musician you can possibly be.

 

Your week of Camp wil be full of information, inspiration, skill building and spiritual life. The Camp of Worship will inspire you to excel in life!

Nobody belongs here more than you! Regardless of your ability or experience, you will benefit from the week.  And it will be a load of fun!

 
We will put you in a band and you will perform in a band. Each Band performs publicly on Saturday morning what they’ve learned during the week when friends and families gather at the end of week’s program in the chapel.

Daily Schedule

 

WHAT’S THE PROGRAM LIKE?

One full week of playing, learning, jamming, learning and growing.

Each day begins with a worship service conducted by staff and students. Worship services include a word from gifted speakers. Each day ends with a service and round table discussion with bands and worship teams from throughout the northeast.

There will be plenty of free time, opportunities to play and jam with others and to choose from a variety of recreational planned and relaxed options.

 

EACH DAY INCLUDES:

MORNING DEVOTIONS, CHAPEL & BIBLE TEACHING:  Every morning we'll be looking at the nature and character of God who deserves our worship.  We will dig deep and drink full from the Word of God. 

CORE CLASSES: Acoustic Guitar, Bass, Drums, Electric Guitar, Keyboards, Percussion, Piano, Sound, Stage & Lights, Worship Arts, Support Instruments & Vocals

MASTER CLASSES: In-depth and specific instruction for various instruments, voice, sound and support

WORSHIP BAND: Everyday you will be playing in a worship band and learning new skills in the dynamic of performing in a live band!

NIGHTLY WORSHIP PERFORMANCES:  with some of the regions best known and loved worship leaders and teams

EVENING ROUNDTABLES:    with artists, worship leaders, instructors everyday on topics related to musical performance, skill, touring, band dynamics and personal growth.
